Woven Heritage Matelasse Bedspreads

Woven Heritage matelasse bedspreads are woven from the highest grade cotton on Jacquard looms, at Maine Heritage Weavers in Lewiston, Maine. The same city where Benjamin Bates began Bates Manufacturing in 1850.

They are produced at Maine Heritage Weavers, which began 5 years ago by former Bates Fabrics employees. Woven on similar Jacqaurd looms as Bates, matelasse Heritage bedspreads and coverlets are available in many colors including linen, sage and quartz. Heritage (also remembered as Heirloom) is a repeat pattern of a circular and leaf design and one of the oldest designs in our matelasse collection.

In addition to bedspreads, [tag]coverlets[/tag], throws and [tag]shams[/tag] are available. Coverlets feature pom-pom fringe and bedspreads have string fringe. They are machine washable and are woven with fade-resistant dyed yarn.
