They are produced at Maine Heritage Weavers, which began over 5 years ago by former Bates Fabrics employees. Woven on similar [tag]Jacqaurd[/tag] looms as Bates, trapunto woven ([tag]matelasse[/tag]) Heritage coverlets and bedspreads are available in many colors including linen, sage and quartz. Heritage (also remembered as Heirloom) is a repeat pattern of a circular and leaf design and one of the oldest designs in our matelasse collection.

In addition to these luxury bedspreads, coverlets, pillow shams and throws are available. Coverlets feature pom-pom fringe and bedspreads have string fringe. They are machine washable and are woven with fade-resistant dyed yarn.

We are proud to announce "Tuscany" as the newest addition to our woven matelasse collection. Although taken from the archives of America's "attic," the Smithsonian Institution, Tuscany's grape and vine pattern and floral motif evoke images of the Tuscany region of Italy. The puffed trapunto technique defines the design, giving it a dimensional look and feel that is elegant and rich. The bedspread, matching throws and pillow shams are 100% cotton.

Sizes include: twin 80"x110", full 96"x110", queen 102"x110" and king 116"x120".  Shams and throws are also woven in this design.  This woven matelasse bedspread is machine washable and will not shrink more than 3 percent.  Fade resistant dyes and the finest cotton available make this [tag]vintage[/tag] bedspread a treasured woven [tag]heirloom[/tag] that will last for years.
